Satdobato — literally the seven-way junction — is the crossroads of south Lalitpur, linking the Ring Road, the Lagankhel road, the Karyabinayak side and the Khumaltar stretch towards the hospital and research campuses. It is one of the busiest furniture-shopping corridors in the Valley, with a long row of retail showrooms along the Ring Road selling largely imported and factory-assembled pieces.

We compete with that row on a different basis: we manufacture. Satdobato buyers who come to Imadol are usually the ones who have already walked the showroom row, found the sizes wrong for their room, and want a piece built to a measured wall instead of a catalogue dimension. That matters here because much of the residential stock behind the junction — around Khumaltar and the lanes towards Bhaisepati — is 2000s-era individual housing with irregular room shapes and low 8.5 ft ceilings that standard 7.5 ft wardrobes fit badly.

There is also a large service-sector rental population near the hospital and the government research campuses at Khumaltar. Those tenants furnish quickly and modestly: one bed, one wardrobe, a small dining set, sometimes a study desk.
